Submission tips
Heads up! The submission deadline for the Viggle App Jam is August 22, 2013 at 5 p.m. EDT.
Need some help getting your submission in order? Follow these tips for smooth sailing.
How to nail the submission process
-
Ask others to test your app. You know your app like the back of your hand, but are you sure that others will find it as easy to use? Send a copy of your testing instructions (a submission requirement!) to your friends and family, and challenge them to use your app without any additional help from you. It’s a great opportunity to get feedback and fix any bugs or broken links.
-
Sign up for a Viggle developer account. You won’t be able to test your app on the Viggle platform unless you’ve signed up for a Viggle developer account! Sign up to be a Viggle developer now and post any technical questions you have in the Viggle Google Group.
-
Start your draft. Beginning your draft early is the best way to avoid feeling rushed later on. Fill out the easy fields today (like name, app category and submitter type), and you’ll have fewer items to worry about on the day you submit.
-
Submit early. When you’re ready to enter your submission, just visit the draft that you saved and click “Submit for Review” at the bottom of the form. We review submissions on a rolling basis, so the earlier you submit, the earlier we can tell you if anything is amiss (and give you the opportunity to change it).
-
Read the fine print. Ensure that your app is eligible by triple checking the Official Rules. We’d hate to have to disqualify your submission based on a technicality, no matter how small it may seem!
Questions?
As always, we’re here to help. If you have technical questions about the challenge, please post in the Viggle Google Group. If you have questions about the rules or the challenge in general, post on the Discussion Forum or shoot us an email at support@challengepost.com and include “Viggle” in the subject line.
Good luck! We can’t wait to see your apps!
Happy programming!
